I grew up in a home where love came with conditions and silence was safer than truth. For years, I carried that weight in a small suitcase — convinced that if I just sent it far enough away, I’d be free.
It took a candlelit room in Macedonia, three children born on Mediterranean shores, and a little blue notebook that said Dream Big to understand: the freedom I’d been searching for was always inside me.
